Despite the record numbers of job fair attendees and rising unemployment rates, nearly a third of job seekers that we recently polled are not attending any job fairs this year.
While 40% plan to attend between 1-3 fairs, another 28% said they'll attend at least four job fairs this year, perhaps even more.
What could explain the high number of non-attendees? Better online networking tools and extended unemployment benefits and/or severance packages are two of the competing factors with job fairs this year.
